i read an article and it showed images captured by

again, because it was there...
I went thru great effort to find a pedestal that matched the era of
our house (circa 1924) and then went thru more effort to track
down the faucet to match...Newport Brass, baby! gorgeous -
and really, really a pain to put together!!!
each of those little sections is a separate piece...
the top, the little round knobie parts, all separate!
what a mission... but it's sooo pretty!

I have always loved how some things jut out of every day normal life
and just scream 'I don't belong - I don't belong!!!

and we get so used to this incongruity that we stop noticing...
